What FEFN does

Defending family interests

FEFN provides institutional representation for large families before public and private bodies, defending their interests at both levels.

Influencing public policy

The federation monitors legislative initiatives, lobbies to influence them, and ensures that existing benefits and rights are upheld and enforced.

Securing discounts for families

It negotiates agreements with companies to obtain discounts and special conditions for large families, so that they can access goods and services on the same footing as smaller households.

Information and guidance

FEFN informs and advises families on their rights and the benefits they are entitled to, both directly and through its network of regional associations across Spain.

Activities and events

FEFN organises activities and events for members:

  • Short-story and photography contests.
  • The Salón para Familias Numerosas (Large Families Fair), first held in 2013 in Madrid.
  • The National Congress, held every two years in different Spanish provinces.
  • Year-round prize draws thanks to partnerships with companies: holidays in hotels, school supplies, clothing, groceries and more.
