Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

ELFAC works to empower families as principal actors in the development of the UN's Sustainable Development Goals and to influence society as a whole.

Six SDGs are positively impacted by family-centred policies: poverty, health, education, gender equality, youth unemployment, and ending violence.

"The very achievement of the development goals depends on how well families are empowered to contribute to those goals." — Former UN Secretary-General, 2010.
