Here are the awardees of the ELFAC prizes, announced in the European Large Families Conference in Creixell (Tarragona, Spain) on Saturday 14, December 2024.

President of the Maria Kopp Institute for Demography and Families
The Maria Kopp Institute for Demography and Families (KINCS) was founded by the Hungarian Government in the early 2018, during the Year of Families. The Institute aims to contribute to the following:
- to progress towards a society promoting and supporting families in having children
- to find appropriate and effective responses to our demographic challenges
- to support the well-being of families, allowing them to grow and to prosper
Family policy and demography are not just one of the national strategic issues, but a common mission that on the long run defines the future in Hungary and in the world. Without laying down the foundations of a family-focused political thinking and without a proper understanding of possible pathways to a demographic turn, it is inconceivable to make a halt to ageing and the decline of population. The most treasured ones, our children, are the key to our future, thus they believe its mission is supporting families in raising as many children as they wish for.
For this purpose, our Institute carries out domestic and international activities, policy analyses and research that can serve as a basis for measures on family and population affairs, contributing to the family friendly, harmonious functioning of society and the prosperity of the nations.

Founder of familyvalued.org project
The familyvalued.org project is aimed to strengthen families, and promotes the beauty and liveability of the family.
The project comprises books in several languages, a multilingual platform for news on family matters and a range of counselling services for families in German-speaking countries.
They have published a book with 44 authors from 9 countries that present their approaches to solving family challenges: “The reinassence of the family”.
The website wants to be a practical guide for families in many topics, as mental health, family-career balance, couple relationship, parenting, care and inclusion, role of grandparents, etc.

POLISH LARGE FAMILY CARD
Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy of Poland
The Polish Large Family Card (Karta Dużej Rodziny) is a program offering discounts and benefits to families with at least three children. It provides access to various discounts in public institutions, private companies, and services across Poland, helping families save money on goods and services. The card is free and can be obtained by any adult family member – parent, spouse, or adult child.
The Polish government has delegated the management of the benefits of the card to the Polish Association of Large Families.
